10 Video Game Enemies That Should've Been The Final Boss

5. Various - Tekken Tag Tournament

Because Tekken Tag Tournament is basically fan-fiction, Namco's two-on-two beat 'em up wasn't bogged down by continuity, meaning any character, living or dead, could show up. As such, there are plenty of imposing figures who could've served as the final boss in this PS2 launch title.

Although Ogre died in Tekken 3, there's no reason why he couldn't be TTT's overarching villain. Alternatively, the story mode could've concluded with a battle against the father-and-son duo, Kazuya and Jin, or an amped up Heihachi.

Instead, the final boss was a new combatant called Unknown. Unknown takes the form of a naked woman, shrouded in shadowy goo, with a ghostly wolf hovering behind her. Even though Unknown has a unique design, nothing is revealed about this dark figure, making her pretty forgettable. Although Tekken is renowned for its memorable villains, Unknown isn't one of them.

To be fair, Unknown could've been a serviceable boss if her identity was revealed. In Tekken Tag Tournament 2, it's revealed Unknown is Jin's mother, Jun Kazama. Although this is an interesting revelation, it's too little too late, since fans had to wait 12 years before Unknown was... known.
