10 Video Game Enemies That Were Totally Out Of Place
4. Armadura - Resident Evil 4
The Resident Evil franchise has basically built its brand on the mantra that no enemy design is too weird, so it's telling that amid all the parasite-infected villagers and mythically large beasts, Resident Evil 4's most unexpected enemy was...an infected suit of armour.
In the focal castle location where much of the game takes place, Leon will end up facing off against the Armadura, suits of armour which have become possessed by Las Plagas parasites that have, for whatever reason, lost their warm human hosts.
The Plagas use their tentacles to manipulate the armour and make the suits attack Leon in a creepily stilted, vaguely human fashion, before their tentacles eventually burst from the head of the suit.
There are two variations on the Armadura - silver and black - both of which are made all the more creepy by how thoroughly antithetical they are to the monster encounters throughout the rest of the game.
