10 Video Game Heroes Way Worse Than The Villain

1. Shadow Of The Colossus - Wander

Shadow Of The Colossus
Team ICO

Whether tricked, betrayed or outright nasty, committing evil deeds as a result of being unaware or careless is no less justifiable. Everyone has a choice and had Wander taken the time to learn about Dormin, asking others or educating himself, he wouldn't have turned into one of the very monsters he sought to kill.

The Colossi that Wander hunted, all 16, were used as vessels to hold the energy of Dormin, a powerful, spirit-like demon. However, in an attempt to help a fallen maiden, Mono, Wander succumbs to the wishes of Dormin, believing in his wishes. In actuality, he's killing sentient, defensive guardians whose responsibility is to keep the villain locked away.

As each Colossi falls, Wander becomes more and more corrupt. Milky eyes, cracked skin, darker skin and marks all across his face. By the end of it, he's practically a walking husk and is struck down by men who see he's being possessed. That doesn't help the situation, though, as Dormin takes his full form, borrowing Wanders body. You, the player, attempt to kill everyone in the shrine but fail, both Dormin and Wander being locked in the shrine.
