7. Captain John Price (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Series)
Job: SAS Operative One of the cooler missions in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has the player (playing as Price) navigating the ruins of Chernobyl in order to assassinate Ultranationalist terrorist Imran Zakhaev. The climax of the mission involves you using a massive sniper rifle to do exactly that, except you blow his arm off instead of killing him. That cursed wind! Prices failure results in Zakhaev living long enough to set the events of Modern Warfare in motion. Of course, Price endeavors to make up for this mistake by annihilating an unfathomable amount of bad dudes, but wouldnt it have been better to just get the job done right the first time?
