10 Video Game Mini-Games Discovered YEARS Later

5. Two-Player Mode - Super Punch-Out!!

HALO 5
Nintendo

Super Punch-Out!! was originally released in 1994, and a whole 28 years later in 2022 the Twitter account Unlisted Cheats dropped one hell of a truth bomb - the game has a secret two-player mode that nobody knew about this entire time.

To unlock the mode, you need to select free match mode, pick a fighter, and at the character info screen hold B+Y on player two's controller, all while pressing start on player one's.

This will then allow player two to control the second fighter, meaning friends can finally duke it out together.

While this feature was presumably included in the game for testing purposes during development, it's pretty damn shocking that it managed to remain a secret for almost three decades.

Considering how cool a feature it is, and how much more replay value it gives the game, it's totally ridiculous that it was hidden for so damn long.

Thankfully though, this secret mode was also confirmed to be playable in the Nintendo Switch online version of the game.
