10 Video Game Moments We Were All Waiting For (That Didn't Happen)

2. Darth Nihilus - Knights Of The Old Republic II - The Sith Lords

After Knights of the Old Republic received a gargantuan amount of praise, fans were beyond hyped for the sequel.

Although little was given away about KOTOR II: The Sith Lords up until its release, we were instantly intrigued by one character: Darth Nihilus. Because this masked darksider showed up on every poster and trailer, we suspected this piece of Sith was the main villain. And since the antagonist of the previous instalment, Darth Malak, was one of the greatest baddies in Star Wars, we assumed this new foe was destined to become equally iconic.

But thanks to massive last-minute cuts, Nihilus barely made an appearance (or an impression).

Despite the fact he's all over the cover art, Nihilus has the least significant role of the three Sith Lords. In the first game, the protagonist had a deeply rich and eternally fascinated relationship with his nemesis. This time around, you know next to nothing about your enemy. You don't even see Nihilus' face!

Although the other Sith are intriguing, it's frustrating how the villain we thought would be the be-all-and-end-all come across as a mere grunt.
