10 Video Game Movies That Could Genuinely Work
7. Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid is one of the more obvious choices to be made into a movie, and for good reason. The series is so varied and intricate, with so many options to be made into films. You could create your own story, or remake one of the main series titles. Whilst most games wouldn't be well served by a direct adaptation, a lot of MGS games have a unique theatrical presence that would work exceptionally well on the big screen.
All of this without mentioning the fact that MGS is such an insane series that there could be a completely mad movie made if people put the effort in. If the team behind it embodied the eccentricity of Hideo Kojima and made a unique, fourth-wall breaking movie, then we could get something special.
Being told to leave the movie theatre is probably the most basic idea, but with the complete insanity that is MGS, there could be a wealth of creative and ingenious ideas interwoven in the move. Maybe when Kojima and Del Toro are finished with Death Stranding, they'll turn their eyes to the silver screen.
