2. Become Navlaan's Assassin - Dark Souls II (2014)
There's no shortage of truly mental characters in the Dark Souls series, but right up there among the reigning psychos is Royal Sorcerer Navlaan, a serial killer locked up behind a wall of magic in Aldia's Keep.
From the minute you meet him, he's amazingly forthright about his passion for killing. His murderous dual personality tells you he'll kill again as soon as he gets out, but for the meantime, needs someone to carry out his work for him.
Oh sure, what's the worst that can happen?
If you agree to his request, Navlaan will instruct you to kill four of your allies: Laddersmith Gilligan, Cale the Cartographer, Felkin the Outcast, and even the Emerald Herald herself. But why in God's name would you ever do that?!
For those in the know, there's a way to complete his quest without raising a blade to any of these people. But even then, why would you even give this guy the time of day after this?
Letting him out after you've done what he says has him invade you relentlessly anyway, so it's definitely best to leave this creep to his own devices.
