10 Video Game Remake Character Designs Everyone Hated

7. Jill Valentine - Resident Evil 3

After last year's remake of Resident Evil 2 did such a fantastic job with its redesigns of pretty much the entire cast of characters, expectations were high that Resident Evil 3 Remake would follow suit.

And while the updated designs for the likes of Nemesis, Carlos, and Nikolai were roundly praised by most fans, the reception to Jill's new look proved decidedly more "mixed" - if we're being kind.

Though many rightly praised Capcom for ditching Jill's hilariously impractical nightclub-worthy attire from the original RE3, there wasn't much enthusiasm to be found for the character's new face, which didn't in any way resemble that of the original Jill.

Differences don't have to be bad, of course, but the new face was just too far divorced from what fans knew - a rather generic, featureless makeover for one of the most iconic characters in video game history.
