Life Is Strange follows a teenager called Max Caulfield shortly after she develops the ability to time-travel. Despite her best efforts to help others with her gifts, Max finds herself falling victim to the dreaded Butterfly Effect, causing her actions to have drastic reactions she could never anticipate.

The Telltalesque adventure game was lauded for its interactive story and character development, allowing Life Is Strange to become a sleeper hit. After it spawned a few follow-ups (including last year's second official sequel, True Colours), Deck Nine and Black Towers Studios decided to remaster the first game and the spin-off, Before the Storm.

With superior lightning and facial motion capture, it felt like Life Is Strange Remastered Collection would solve some of the niggling issues of the original.

But upon the reflection, the remaster wasn't needed. Although the graphical enhancements are easily distinguishable when compared side-by-side, it's something you don't notice while playing the recent incarnation. The added content is so minor, some players might not notice at all.

For the record, this bundle isn't bad - it's just unnecessary. If you've never experienced Life Is Strange before, it's worth checking out. If you've played the original and Before the Storm, there's not enough here to warrant a purchase.
