10 Video Game Secret Endings That Weren't Worth It

4. The Song's Offer - Furi

Furi's secret ending doesn't require you to fully finish the game, and yet achieving it can feel like an even bigger waste of time than other entries on this list, simply because of this one really annoying mechanic that is connected to it.

The ending can be reached halfway through your run, right before the boss fight with the sixth Jailer of the game, the Song. She will ask you to cease your quest for freedom and instead stay inside her sanctuary with her. At that point, more curious players might feel tempted to oblige Song's request, just to see what happens.

Indeed, remaining still for a couple of minutes within the area leading to the boss fight will trigger a special scene - a secret ending in which the Rider, the main character of Furi, chooses to stay with Song forever.

After the credits roll and everything fades to black, the player is taken back to the main menu, where, surprise, surprise... your save file is gone!

Curiosity is the first step to hell, they say. If taking on the first five bosses of Furi twice is anything to go by, it seems like an accurate statement.
