10 Video Game Sequels Better Than The Original
2. SSX Tricky
Another massive launch title, SSX was released with the PlayStation, was the first of EA's 'EA Sport Big' franchise, and gave players a mountain to descend, colourful snowboarders, creative courses, and gravity defying tricks and stunts.
If SSX was at full throttle, SSX Tricky turned it up to 11.
Wackier characters that spoke to you as you carved your way through fresh powder; more options to customise boards; longer, wilder tracks and could really test your boarding skills; and the introduction of the Uber system.
Rack up enough points, combos and special tricks, and the Uber metre would fill. Once it was full, the player had limited time to pull of completely insane tricks, such as Eddie doing the worm on his board as it falls 500ft towards a rock face, and Run DMC's 'Tricky' track would kick in.
Each character had their own unique Uber move, and after performing 6 in a race (spelling out 'Tricky') had unlimited boost until the end of the race.
