10 Video Game Sequels That Changed The Way You Viewed Characters
7. God Of War (2018) - Kratos
Poor Kratos can't seem to catch a break in these games.
In the initial God of War trilogy, Kratos was a deadly Spartan warrior who rose through the ranks in the service of Ares. He was later tricked into murdering his own wife and daughter by the gods he served and became The Ghost of Sparta.
Kratos would then proceed to carve a bloody path through the entirety of the Greek pantheon, in turn becoming a god himself. Consumed by rage and vengeance, Kratos was an unstoppable force of pure anger.
Thanks to God of War (2018) fans got to see a different side to their favourite god-killer. Kratos seems much wiser and more reluctant towards using violence as he attempts to raise his son following the loss of his second wife.
The new approach to the character demonstrates a different outlook on grief and that Kratos is much more than a one-dimensional rage monster.
