10 Video Game Skills You Won’t Believe You Had To Unlock

4. Aiming Your Weapon - Fable II

Now, compared to many of the other "skills" you have to unlock, learning to aim your weapons doesn't initially sound all that bad. People have to train to learn how to aim weapons in real life, so it makes sense, right?

Well, the thing is, in real life you generally don't need to shoot several arrows into your enemies, unless you're in the medieval era - in which case, well done for somehow finding a spot with wifi.

Being unable to aim makes the combat of Fable II feel hugely clunky, as you're stuck unable to use your own personal shooting skills to try and win the fight. Sure, the upgrade for it isn't far into your skill tree, but the fact that so many people didn't realise shows it's not exactly common sense, either.

Hilariously, this has lead to Fable II message boards being filled with people desperately trying to figure out how to aim their weapons, having clearly pressed every button they could in order to try and use this feature.

Many of their furious responses to being told they need to unlock it are now a decade old, and yet anyone suffering the same experience can connect entirely with the gentle fury not being able to aim provides.
