10 Video Game Trailers That Spoiled WAY Too Much
2. So, So Much - Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
Hideo Kojima just can't help himself when it comes to showing way too much in the marketing for basically every single one of his games, but he took this to frankly ridiculous extremes with his most recent game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
Particularly egregious was the game's pre-order trailer released back in March, which is basically a 10-minute blow-out of many of the game's most memorable cinematic moments.
More to the point, a large portion of these scenes take place incredibly late in the game, such as character moments involving Neil Vana, several set-pieces featuring Tomorrow, and most absurdly the awesome kaiju fight which happens in the final hour-or-so.
For many, the trailer featured so much insanity that they could only get excited about the things Kojima hadn't included, only to be surprised that, between all the trailers, he'd shown a massive portion of the game's most memorable moments.
The lesson here? If you know you're getting a Kojima game - and, let's face it, you probably are - stop watching the trailers a solid six months before it comes out.
