10 Video Game Villains That Made The Biggest Impact In The Smallest Time

6. The Turks - Final Fantasy VII

Time On Screen: Approx. 20 minutes

Literally every single second of Final Fantasy VII is beloved, cherished and celebrated on a near-daily basis. And though I'm here for Sephiroth disappearing into waves of flame after murdering an entire village, or Cloud flipping off and onto trains as they speed through Midgar, the mysterious Turks are a large part of FF VII ephemera too.

Popping up in a handful of places across the story, they essentially exist as a group of combat specialists, hired by Shinra to bring down Cloud and the gang.

Only... they're more in it for the money, and repeatedly make it known that none of this is personal.

This setup has led to the Turks being cited as some of the most fun villains in Final Fantasy history, and they even come with their own theme song - heralding their arrival every time.

My personal favourite scene is totally optional - as the party come across the Turks in the town of Wutai, only to find they're on their day off.

A great exchange between Cloud and Elena results in the latter threatening your crew and preparing for battle, only for the legendary Rude and Reno to complain that even that level of stress is making the booze taste worse.

Instead it's drinks all round until they make the save against a far more despicable foe. Brilliant.
