10 Video Game Villains Who Secretly Won

Helmed by Rare, Conker’s Bad Fur Day begins with the titular foul-mouthed squirrel getting lost on his way home to his girlfriend Berri following a night of heavy drinking. From here, this cult classic only gets zanier, with fighting a singing piece of excrament one of the saner parts of Conker's adventure.

Unfortunately for the hero, his drunken wanderings put him in the sights of the villainous Panther King, who wishes to capture Conker and turn him into a table leg.

During the climactic moment where Conker and the Panther King come face-to-face, Berri is shot and killed by the head of the weasel mafia on the king’s orders.

Despite the malicious monarch dying moments later and Conker being crowned the new king, losing Berri proved to be too much for the plucky rodent to bear. Making matters worse is his realisation that he missed his opportunity to ask the developers to bring her back to life.

In an unexpectedly harrowing note, the game ends with a devastated and defeated Conker drunkenly walking away from the camera, with the implication being that he's going to take his own life. All of which was down to the Panther King's heartless actions.
