10 Video Game Weapons That Let You Destroy Entire Worlds
5. The Death Star - Star Wars: Empire At War
When it comes to planet destroyers, no weapon is more iconic than Star Wars' original Death Star. The floating metal orb is probably why the concept of blowing up planets with orbital lasers became so popular in the first place. If you ever wondered what it would be like to wield the power of the actual Death Star, the 2006 strategy game Star Wars: Empire at War is just the thing to sate your curiosity.
In the game, you get to play as either the Empire or the Rebels and expand their influence within the galaxy by building ships and fighting the opposing forces. Of course, if you pick the Empire's side, one of the vessels in your arsenal is the legendary Death Star itself.
The Star is capable of shooting smaller laser bursts to target individual ships and stations, but being true to its movie counterpart, it can also fire up a giant stream towards a planet to instantly blow it up. It can use its main burst only once per battle, but it is more than enough to completely crumble your opposition.
Just make sure there aren't any Jedi flying around when you bring it to the battlefield.
