10 Video Game Weapons You're A Dick For Using

2. Golden Gun - Goldeneye

Its debut in the 1965 novel The Man with the Golden Gun (and later featuring in the 1974 film of the same name) made the shiny weapon a fan favourite amongst Bond faithfuls. It was no surprise, then, that the titular gun made an appearance on the N64's revolutionary shooter, Goldeneye.

Goldeneye was an essential title in the N64's early years. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was a year out, so it was up to Bond to carry the load until the Hero of Hyrule returned to Nintendo home consoles. So many sleepovers and parties were commandeered by Goldeneye in the late 1990's, as the addicting split-screen multiplayer provided hours of endless fun.

What wasn't amusing, was being on the receiving end of the Golden Gun.

The weapon was an instant kill regardless of where the player was hit. It required a reload after every shot, so there was a risk in selecting it, but the moment you enter its sights you were doomed.

The gun is a chore to battle against, and it's flashy colour and gaudy design as well as its obvious perks makes you a dick for using it.
