10 Video Games That Were Always Doomed To Fail

5. Elf Bowling 1&2

As we get into the final half of this list, we're entering the realm of truly awful decisions, that have led to game releases that should never have seen the light of day. Decisions like releasing a novelty bowling title on consoles, based on a free online flash game that was only popular half a decade prior to release. One of the worst reviewed games ever, Elf Bowling 1&2 for the Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance is a title construed by the minds of people totally out of touch with popular culture. Elf Bowling might have had a brief stint of fame in 1999, during the early days of browser-based gaming. However, by 2005, people had wised up enough to realise that casual games don't have to be little more than vaguely interactive cartoons. Elf Bowling 1&2 are horribly animated turds, with no semblance of actual gameplay to be found. Remarkably, the title has almost no changes from the 1999 original, making it perhaps the laziest port of all time. Proving there's justice in the world, Elf Bowling 1&2 launched to bad reviews and sales, bringing into question exactly what the requirements for Nintendo's "Seal of Approval" actually are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WznPdb4vy_E
