5. Child Of Light
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuDaxVfe12o Every so often, a game comes along that is not out to showcase the horrors of war or scare the pants off you. Sometimes, there are games that strive to be something different. And Child of Light, from Assassin's Creed developers UbiSoft Montreal, is one of those titles. Its breathtaking visual style is truly beautiful, combining that with a traditional turn-based RPG system. The developers have stated that they are inspired by Studio Ghibli films, and that much is clear. It has a very rich, storybook style and lush 2D animation. Child of Light tells the story of Aurora, a young girl who wakes up in the mythical kingdom of Lemuria. The stars, sun and the moon have been stolen by the Black Queen, and it's up to Aurora to get them back. This high fantasy tale mixes in old-school tropes with modern sensibilities, and creates a sense of wonder that you simply can't find in the bigger AAA titles. And with its price tag being a mere fifteen bucks, you are getting a lot of gaming time for a very small amount of cash.
