4. Batman: Arkham Knight
The Arkham series is ravenously popular, due in large part to its use of iconic voice actor Kevin Conroy as Batman. His status as the Batman so many people grew up watching cemented Arkham's place. So it's no surprise that fans were bursting at the seams with Batman: Arkham Knight was announced with a stunning CG trailer. Narrated by Thomas Wayne, it shows Batman gearing up for what may be his toughest battle to date. Since its initial reveal, there's been a flurry of exciting tidbits about the game. Perhaps the most pleasing of which is that the Batmobile will finally be in your control. With the entirety of Gotham City available to you, the thought of cruising through the streets is truly fanboy pleasing. Imagine the thrill of plowing down the concrete war zone of Gotham and seeing what kind of punishment you can dish out. Arkham Knight also appears to be Rocksteady saying farewell to the Dark Knight. It is being labeled a conclusion to the series, something that Rocksteady has had in mind since they completed Arkham City. While it's possible this could be the end, it's likely that WB is looking to re-brand the games into something much bigger for the future. Whatever the case, it's a tremendously exciting time to be a Batman fan.
