Dark Souls WISHES it was as hard as the original Ninja Gaiden, as those games were a painful, bloody mess with little chance of success. You might even say that they were broken in some areas.

Yet, if you fancy putting yourself through the absolute ringer then you’re going to have to work for it, because the only way you’re going to get to play the Arcade version of the first game is by completing all of Ninja Gaiden black and then go back to the start menu and load up your new game.

Trust me while it’s amazing to travel back in time and experience the game that kickstarted the franchise…..my god is it tough and will leave you praying for ninja dog mode to make things even a little easier.
