If you’re like me, then you’ll have spent more than a healthy amount of time on the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map, dodging through houses, snaking round cars, cursing your internet provided, and accidently shooting mannequins believing them to be other players. Yet you might have been doing this all without realising that the map is hiding a lovely little secret.

If you manage to shoot all the heads off of these creepy plastic people in under 2 minutes, then the Nuketown 2025 display board will change to that of an old Activision logo, approaching this pixelated portal into the past will change your lovely HD hands into 32 bit ones holding an old Atari controller.

Now you have access to not just one full game, but four!

Pitfall, Hero, River Raid and Kaboom are all at your fingertips, and each provides another example of a time when Activision were a breakaway from Atari. They're also a reminder of how Atari nearly destroyed the video game industry as we know it...
