Divinity: Original Sin II is a powerful, emotional RPG and one of the best-reviewed games of the year. With the main quest line taking an enormous 60 - 70 hours to complete, players embark on a gripping journey through the land of Rivellon.
Players become a Sorceror, employing a magical substance called Source in their attacks. This substance is dangerous however, as it draws monsters called Voidwoken to the land, who kill indiscriminately, causing you to be reviled by the game's populace.
The game's journey takes you through all manner of colourful and varied locations, while the characters inhabiting the game world are deep and multi-faceted. Developer Larian Studios has done everything in its power to craft a layered world where good and evil are not clearly defined, where player choice will come back to haunt them.
The game has been exceptionally well-received, with many calling it one of the greatest RPGs ever made. It's a hardcore RPG through and through, modelled in the style of D&D's pen and paper RPGs and is best played online with multiple friends, seeing you travel across the lands, and even doing battle with the Gods.
