10 Video Games MUCH Better Than We Thought They'd Be
5. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Call of Juarez as a series has seen an extremely mixed reception. From the pretty shitty Call of Juarez: The Cartel to the pretty decent Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, it was pretty hard for fans to know what to expect of the 2013 offering Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. Understandably, expectations were set pretty low but Techland absolutely pulled it out of the bag for their fourth entry which was universally agreed upon to be the best in the series yet.
Everything from the shooting mechanics to the charming narration, storytelling, and exciting setting just gels together perfectly.
Long-time fans of the series could breathe a sigh of relief when this one landed as it offered up everything they’d been looking for and more. With a refreshing sense of humour, tight gameplay, fun and varied environments, and some really clever plot points that keep you engaged with its story, Gunslinger proved that even the fourth entry in a series is entirely capable of reinventing the wheel in the best possible way.
