10 Video Games MUCH Better Than We Thought They'd Be

Inscryption is an interesting one where you either knew all about its creator Daniel Mullins and the way his very unique brain works when it comes to video game development or you had no idea what you were in for and you were heading down the rabbit hole.

Inscryption is a game you shouldn’t let anyone describe to you, which is unfortunate because I’ve included it in an entry on a WhatCulture list where it’s kind of my job to do that.

Without giving the game away, pun partially intended, Daniel Mullins is the king of subversion, whatever you think you’re playing there’s a good chance it isn’t that at all and Inscryption is no exception. A combination of a clever but entirely breakable card game, horror aesthetics, psychological thriller elements, and even FMV elements make up the one-of-a-kind gaming experience that you won’t be able to find anywhere else.

And they also make it one that nobody could have seen coming, but when the surprise is this good it’s safe to say no one really minded.
