10 Video Games That Are Already In The Running For Game Of The Year 2017

With Person possibly being one of the old school JRPG franchises that still has a huge following both in Japan and out west, Persona 5 had its formal PlayStation 4 debut in April this year, and as one can expect, it made a huge splash both critically, and at retail. While it's chronologically the sixth installment in Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei series, newcomers won't be left out even if they haven't played any of the earlier games.

You star as a student who has recently enrolled in Shujin Academy in Tokyo, and do a bunch of student things. Prepare to work, find dates, do chores, and of course, take out monsters. It's like a life simulator, but with added supernatural abilities, monsters and in Japan. If there was a game that can make you get lost in its world just by doing nothing, it's Persona 5. Heck, it's so good that we even ran a list stating why it's already a contender for Game of the Year.
