10 Video Games That Could Secretly Dominate 2019
6. Rage 2
The first Rage wasn't great. While it definitely had its moments and introduced an interesting world, it was a shooter devoid of originality and lacking in content. Rage 2, on the other hand, looks to be the exact opposite.
Establishing a massive sandbox for the player to run, gun and drive through, Rage 2 looks utterly insane, but in all the right ways. The shooting looks satisfying (and why shouldn't it with the minds of Just Cause and Doom behind it), while the driving appears intense and the absolutely bonkers tone adds some much-needed personality atop its post-apocalyptic world.
While the first Rage's lack of resonance has resulted in tempered expectations for the sequel, Rage 2 could surprise a lot of people when it releases this August. Bethesda has been putting out some incredible shooters recently, with their work rebooting both the Doom and Wolfenstein franchises into two of the most celebrated shooters on the market cementing their eye for talent.
Rage 2 looks to be no different, and with the rate at which they're pushing the game at big events, we could be looking at the next big franchise nestled within their portfolio of incredible first-person action experiences.
