9. Warhawk
This severely underrated online shooter for PlayStation 3 marked one of the system's first online hits in 2007. It was all a lot of fun partaking in its hybrid of air, ground and on-foot combat; that is, once you got past the rather steep learning curve. With a set of complicated controls across its three methods of play, Warhawk wasn't kind to newcomers. Offering a measly collection of hint boxes that flashed up on screen when you booted up your first online match. Being an online title in a series that hadn't been heard from since the original PlayStation, there was little excuse for the lack of a tutorial.
It would take over a year for the now defunct Incognito Entertainment to add a training mode to Warhawk, which featured three tutorial missions training players in both on-foot and vehicle based combat. It was certainly a welcome addition that taught players the ropes. Although in the year that followed, these additions were not extended to the three DLC packs, meaning that players still had to get to grips with the new additions. The dropship, APC and jetpack all added new dimensions to the gameplay, but didn't offer much guidance on how to use
