10 Video Games That Just Got Delayed
9. Dying Light: The Beast
A considerably less egregious delay now, with Dying Light: The Beast, which was announced at last year's Gamescom and originally set to release sometime in August.
However, back in July developer Techland offered an update, confirming that the game wouldn't be making August as originally planned, and will now instead drop on September 19.
A pretty mild delay considering the general state of things in the games industry at present, then, and considering Techland's statement said they want to make The Beast the best Dying Light game they've ever produced, a few extra weeks of polishing sounds completely reasonable.
As the devs themselves said, "With just four additional weeks, [they] can address final details that make all the difference between good and great."
Considering The Beast initially entered development as a DLC pack for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, it's had quite the journey to players, proving promising enough to Techland that they upgraded it to a full-fat retail release in its own right.
