10 Video Games That Let You DESTROY The Final Boss
5. Shao Kahn - Mortal Kombat (2011)
Although Mortal Kombat has had many epic bosses, Shao Kahn is often perceived as the bloody franchise's big bad. Because of his overpowered attacks and iconic put-downs, the Emperor of Outworld has been the bane of many gamers' playthroughs.
However, Shao Kahn from 2011's Mortal Kombat reboot is inarguably the cheapest fighter in the entire saga. This incarnation of the skull-masked tyrant has a barrage of unfair tactics, including combo-cancelling, air-lifts, unblockable attacks, and stun-locks. Kahn is so cheap, he encourages players to find an equally cheap strategy to come out on top.
Fortunately, there is one. By firing projectiles from a distance, besting the tyrannical monarch in battle is a cinch. He'll try to counter with special moves, but won't have time if the player gets a good rhythm going.
If Kahn blocks, this just delays the inevitable, since projectiles will chip away at his health bar. Although Kahn might get in the odd attack or two, it's easy to get back in the flow and continue overpowering the towering regent.
It's a lame way to defeat the final boss, but it's pretty justified, since Shao Kahn is unbearably difficult, if fought the old fashioned way.
