9. Daud - Dishonored
In one of the most memorable opening moments in recent years, Dishonored starts with the assasinnation of The Empress and the kidnapping of her daughter and you taking up the revenge-soaked mantle of Corvo. Your mission is simple, find the person responsible for this and end them.
That man, as it turns out is Daud, a character painted to be a complex and deeply troubled antagonist throughout the original game, but who must pay for his crimes. However, as with many aspects of Dishonored, Daud's legacy and reasons for murder are shrouded in mystery.
Luckily for us, we get the opportunity to play through the events leading up to the Empress's murder through the perspective of Daud thanks to the "Kinfe Of Dunwall" DLC, and boy howdy is it a belter. Thanks to the events of this short story we gain much more insight into the machinations and betrayals going on behind the scenes, as well as a whole set of brilliant new powers to play with.
Tackling this DLC first and then reaching the climactic fight with Corvo truly might well change your opinion on him. However that, along with many other choices, is down to you.
