Trigger Happy Havoc, or Dangan Ronpa as it is more popularly known is puzzling murder mystery game set in a school under lock-down.

Some of Japan’s brightest student’s have enrolled at the prestigious Hope’s Peak academy, but upon arriving for their first day are knocked out, waking up later to find that all of the exits have been sealed and told that the world outside has more or less ended.

A little teddy bear jumps out and declares himself the principal, telling everyone that if they don’t start killing each other, they’re trapped forever. People start to die, and it’s your job to figure out who, in court. Get it right, and the murderer will be executed via an ironic deathtrap, but get it wrong and the murderer is set free, whilst everyone else is punished. The story is written really well and you’ll be hooked until the very end. If you’re a fan of horror, it’s worth playing for the death scenes alone.
