10 Video Games That Prove The PS Vita Is Infinitely Better Than You Think

Wipeout is an intense experience. Zooming around a futuristic racecourse with all manner of wacky elements at blistering speeds is tricky enough to begin with, but pair that with kart racer style speed pads, shields and power ups and you find yourself with a learning curve that’s tricky to handle, but oh-so rewarding.

2048 is in the relatively near future, we’re a few decades off at the time of writing, but far closer than any other Wipeout game.

This Vita based installment focuses on the start-up years of the racing promotion, and whilst you’ll still be racing around purpose-built neon tracks at certain points, you’ll more often be piloting your ships through streets, parks and even around skyscrapers. The game looks very pretty in motion, and really shows just what the Vita is capable of, without in any way becoming a tech demo.
