6. Bankrupting You - Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Since coins are sort of everywhere in the Mario universe, you'd imagine it's very, very difficult to bankrupt yourself - as if you're running low on cash you can basically just go for a stroll outside and replenish your funds.

But it is entirely possible in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, if you decide to try and mess about. Namely, if you try and mess about in the Happy Lucky Lottery, which you can do by moving your game clock around to get another ticket quicker, since you can only get one per day.

If you move time forward, for some reason, it's not noticed - but if you move it backwards, you're called out. Not just called out, either, but also fined 500 coins, which is a decent chunk of change in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Needless to say, if you do it once, you're not likely to try and do it again.
