8. Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (Nintendo Switch)

Despite not being as universally adored as its 2003 predecessor, KOTOR II: The Sith Lords was a huge hit commercially and critically. Nearly 20 years later, it remains one of the best Star Wars video games.

Obviously, the June 2022 port to Nintendo Switch was highly anticipated, especially with the announcement of the Restored Content DLC, which began as a fan-made mod meant to fix hundreds of bugs amidst reinstating missing content.

Unfortunately, it was abruptly and mysteriously canceled mere days before coming out, leaving those who preordered it to feel slightly slighted, to say the least.

Developer Aspyr Media issued the bad news on Twitter, and while they didn’t give a clear reason for the decision, they did try to compensate players with “a complimentary . . . key” for a different Star Wars game.

Understandably, people were livid about the whole situation.
