10 Video Games That Were Too Damn Short - Commenter Edition
These credits are a joke, right?
Video games are one of the most profitable entertainment industries on the planet, and a lot of that money comes from players dropping $60 to play the newest AAA titles. When someone throws down that much money to try something new though, they want the game to be worth the money, and when they're too short, players often feel burned.
A game should require a significant amount of time to beat while still being entertaining. Remember, Pac-Man only cost a quarter, and you could play it for as long as you could survive. $60 should get a similar amount of enjoyment, so playing a game that only takes a few hours to beat just doesn't cut it. Of course, many of these games are still entertaining, but for many players, they were over way too fast.
We have compiled a list like this before, but this version is taken from the games viewers in the comments, so if you want to see something not included here in a future instalment, be sure to shout out in the comments to hopefully see them covered in another list of this type.
10. RⒶGE (2010)
Average Play Length: 11 hours, 10 minutes

The first RⒶGE game dropped on all the platforms in 2010 and 2011, and was insanely popular, taking place on a post-apocalyptic Earth that transformed the planet into a wasteland reminiscent of the Fallout series and films like Mad Max.
However, when many players hit the credits some hours later, they thought it was just another cinematic taking them to a new area. It made the gameplay feel truncated like there was more to do from that point, but nope, that was it, and they couldn't continue any further — the story was over.
The single-player campaign for RⒶGE averages out at a little over 11 hours, which may seem like a long time compared to some of the other games on this list, but for RⒶGE, it was too short. The game offers a massive open-world players can explore, and being able to kill off the main story in such a short amount of time was disappointing to tons of players, many of whom got through it in only eight hours, hitting credits just as the story got interesting.
