10 Video Games You Can Expect At E3 2020
8. Gran Turismo
While Forza Motorsport was created as an answer to PlayStation's Gran Turismo series, it and the Horizon series has gone from strength to strength while Gran Turismo has faded away. Heck, Sony even developed Driveclub to go alongside GT as an answer to Forza's dual titles.
Gran Turismo 6 was bizarrely released on PS3 after the PS4 launched, and received great reviews. However, it only sold around 6 million copies, which puts it well below the other mainline entries. Gran Turismo Sport released in 2017 as a new take on the series and it received rather poor reviews for its lack of content and unwillingness to move with the times.
It's easy to forget but Gran Turismo is Sony's biggest selling game franchise. Each entry still sells better than most other titles, but the series has been losing mind-share and it's time for a fresh lick of paint. That's where E3 2020 and the PS5 come in.
Gran Turismo 8, launching alongside the PS5 system in later 2020 seems like a sure-fire system seller. It's unclear if Polyphony Digital will be ready to go for the PS5 launch, but a gorgeous trailer is a safe bet regardless.
