10 Video Games You Didn't Know JUST Got Delisted

Splitgate was a free-to-play multiplayer FPS which launched in early access in 2019 before finally officially releasing in late 2022.

Its sequel, Splitgate 2, then released this past June following a brief open beta, with the initial plan for both games to remain online at the same time.

However, just six weeks after Splitgate 2's issue-plagued launch, developer 1047 Games announced that they were effectively "un-releasing" the game due to the negative feedback and nudging it back into an indefinite beta.

The enormous financial costs of undoing the game's release in order to fix its many problems, however, resulted in 1047 Games also announcing that the original Splitgate was being shut down on August 22.

The developer noted that running Splitgate's servers had cost them "hundreds of thousands of dollars" over the years, and so decided to pull the plug on that financial drain in order to focus resources on getting the sequel ready for prime time.

It's certainly a bold choice and wouldn't surprise anyone if it backfired horribly, but here's hoping they can pull a miracle off.
