10 Video Games You Didn't Realise Just Got Cancelled
9. Titanfall Legends
Ever since Apex Legends launched in 2019, there have been persistent rumours that Respawn Entertainment was working on a crossover title with another of their hit FPS games, Titanfall.
Given that Respawn confirmed the two franchises exist within the same universe, a crossover made all the sense in the world, though this past February it was crushingly revealed by Bloomberg's intrepid Jason Schreier that the game both existed and had since been killed.
The game, tentatively titled Titanfall Legends, was set to be a single-player Titanfall campaign within Apex Legends, and had a team of 50 people working on it at the time of its cancellation.
Beyond that, we have no idea how far into development the project was, yet it was reportedly canned due to both the departure of Respawn's narrative design director Mohammad Alavi, and also as part of a wider series of cuts across teams at publisher EA.
Even though Titanfall 2 was a commercial disappointment upon release despite strong reviews, it remains a much-loved IP and one that EA will hopefully return to in the future - but don't expect it anytime soon, sadly.
