10 Videogame Holiday Destinations You Should Avoid

5. Vacation Island - The Sims: On Holiday

On first impressions, you might think Vacation Island has everything a holiday-maker desires. And, well, it does. You can choose to stay at the Palazzo Palms Hotel overlooking a glistening tropical beach. Or perhaps hit the ski slopes in the snow-capped mountains at the Al Pine€™s Winter Wonderland. Or maybe you prefer to take things easy with a camping trip in the forest at the Bear Essentials Lodge and Ranger€™s Ranch Campground. It sounds like the perfect get-away doesn€™t it? But take our advice; it isn€™t. Firstly, a holiday is unlikely to cheer you up. If anything it€™ll make you feel even lonelier than you were before you left, and there€™s a strong chance you€™ll burst into a fit of tears at the buffet. Don€™t expect to make many friends either €“ the language barrier is unfathomable and you€™ll look on in confusion as the locals talk complete and utter gibberish to you. Lastly, not enjoying your holiday is knackering stuff and you€™ll come home tired, depressed and probably suicidal. Your only solace will be returning to the norm of locking friends in small rooms full of fireworks and plenty of inflammables, removing the steps in your swimming pool, and killing anyone that comes to your door, even the papergirl. See! Holidays are overrated.
