5. Minor Details, Major Impact
Look at that screenshot. That's no cutscene, that's no promo, that's the game, and yes, it's glorious. One of the most important parts of the game is actually the hundreds of miniature features. Small details make this game great. Take Tatooine; the ropes and rags, the tears and scars, there's history in that map, it's not some newly-crafted, shiny battle arena. It's rough and arid. Star Destroyers come under the umbrella of little details too. That's another Star Cruiser looming above the map in the image but the same praise can be given to it. It would've been easy for the creators to just whack up some blue sky and pretty clouds, but why not stick an enormous ship there? Small rebel bases, broken bridges, hovering insects, waving branches, rippling water, the immense thud and splash made from am AT-AT walker's feet as it stomps towards its destination. The small details are endless, but add up to create an amazing effect.
