4. Stop Releasing Unfinished Products

One trend that has been ever more common as games have become easier to patch post-launch is them being released in an unfinished state. Whether content-light with promises of more to come, or downright broken with bugs and glitches, these games are in no condition to sell on launch.
Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 76, No Man’s Sky and even the globally adored The Witcher 3 were all guilty of this to some degree, alongside many others. Some games have done better than others to amend their issues (with both The Witcher 3 and No Man’s Sky being stellar products today) but none of them should have released in the condition that they did.
Some of these titles are designed to be a quick cash-grab, with little care given to the condition of the final product. Others are likely pushed out the door early in order to adhere to strict release schedules. This is a practice loathed by gamers and we can only hope we see more time and care put into post-2020 launches.
