One of the things which has held Microsoft back over the years is their lack of exclusive titles and Xbox only games.

The likes of Halo and Forza Motorsports have been long-standing mainstays for the company, but they've lagged behind Sony in terms of quantity and variety.

Thankfully for them, they've acquired some of the biggest developers from around the world to produce new games exclusively for Xbox, giving them further scope to increase their catalogue.

Microsoft now own development giants such as Ninja Theory (Devil May Cry), inXile Entertainment (Wasteland 2) and Rare (Sea of Thieves).

All in all, they company owns a mammoth 13 development brands who have all had massive success in their own rights.
