10 Ways Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Was Almost Completely Different

5. A Red Tunic Design

In any other game, changing a character's colour isn't necessarily a huge deal, but tell that to those who went straight to the dye shop in Hateno Village or immediately purchased an Amiibo to restore BotW's Link to his green tunic-sporting self.

Still, had Link gone with the red design, it would've made for a neat callback to the Goron Tunic from Ocarina of Time, and though a blue tint was also present in that game, the version Nintendo ultimately settled on for Breath of the Wild gives Link a much-needed variation on his traditional garb.

The only way to get a red shirt in the finished product is to dye one that specific colour, or seek out the first set of armour you can purchase inside Kakariko Village.
