10 Weirdest Things People Have Done With Football Manager

6. Acted Like A Real Football Manager

Now apparently this isn't just a one off joke you'll catch on a YouTube sketch or a Vine, but a persistent delusion throughout Football Manager players. Of course there's a feeling of power when you're placed in charge of a (virtual) top-flight side. Of course the roleplaying elements, the press conferences and backroom decisions, feel €œreal€. That's the whole point of the series. Getting into the head of a manager is the aim of the game, so if you do it, you're succeeding. What feels a lot less like succeeding is putting on either a three-piece suit or some leisurewear (preferably in your team's colours) as you sit down on your sofa to play from 6 o'clock through until three the next morning. At this point it's not so much people doing insane things with Football Manager, as it is Football Manager making people do insane things.
