10 Worst Video Games Of 2023 (So Far)

3. Redfall

After the triumph of Deathloop, gamers were excited to see what Arcane Studios would crank out next.

And after playing Redfall, the answer is a resounding, "Not much." Because of how unpolished this vampire-blasting shooter is, gamers will struggle to believe the guys behind Dishonoured put this together.

No mechanic is without fault, whether it's the tired combat, unimaginative world design, bland characters, or the endless technical issues. The enemy AI is so unresponsive, it nearly gives Alien Colonial Marines a run for its money.

If all these concerns were remedied, Redfall is still a test of unendurable tedium, since the solo campaign has players take part in the same missions over and over. (Seriously, how did the developers make psychics fighting undead bloodsuckers this boring?)

Because of this repetitive gameplay, players might look forward to enemies bugging out or getting lodged in walls, since it's one of the few times where the solo missions feel entertaining, as unintended as it may be.

Even though some of the most disappointing games have been fixed with a patch or two, Redfall looks like it's beyond saving.
