100 Things You Never Knew About Resident Evil
81. The Face Of Fear
Lisa Trevor is at once one of the most tragic and also scariest creatures in Resident Evil. An unstoppable monster that lurks the grounds of the Spencer Mansion, she has a history of peeling the faces off her victims and wearing them as a mask. As such, it's hard to get a read on what she actually is or looks like. Capcom did an incredible job with her design considering it's just a robe and a mass of flesh.
It's easy to miss, in fact, that she has an eyeball on her back. This is an allusion to William Birkin, and the fact that her body is used for the creation of the G-virus, but it gets worse. So much worse.
As it turns out, there's something even more unsettling underneath what we see. RE Remake modders got into the game's character models and discovered that under Lisa's mask is a fully textured face, totally deformed and completely creepy.
Not even realising that she bares a striking resemblance to MediEvil's Sir Daniel Fortesque stops it from being horrifying.
