11 Best Mortal Kombat Fatalities Ever

Another straight-up classic, and arguably the image that has defined the series for two decades.

Sub-Zero, much like Scorpion, has been the poster-boy for the series for many years now. As such, he's had some incredible Fatalities, but it's his original that has stood the test of time.

Mortal Kombat 1 saw Sub-Zero grab a person by the neck and rip their head off, spine attached. He holds their head high, spine dangling beneath, while the body crumbles to the floor. And much like Scorpion's Toasty, it's certainly rather tame nowadays, but it's still a really great Fatality and the image the adorned arcade cabinets for years. Gory goodness.
